On September 8, 2008, the Osaka Bio Strategic Conference was held, with participation of Osaka Governor Toru Hashimoto and representatives of ten leading governmental, industrial and academic organizations. The conference, chaired by Mr. Tadamitsu Kishimoto, chairman of Senri Life Science Foundation, adopted “Osaka Bio Strategy 2008,” a common strategic framework for proactive bio industry promotion in Osaka created by all of the participating organizations.
